I gotta get out of what's holy in the world and DNF this book. I can't stand it, the prose sucks, and the descriptions are terrible. The thing is that the author tries to impress you, and at least I'm not impressed by the book. I can't read what is bad literature. I would give it one star, but the military action is redeeming, at least what I read anyway, which made sense and I agree with. But you're trying to focus on the story, and the way the author describes things is just a turn-off. You don't need to impress the reader to convey description; they'll decide for themselves if they're not impressed, and in good conscience push through this book. 2 out of 5 stars.
