C Troop, 1/5 Kommando

C Troop 1/5 Kommando is my other military science fiction series that is a continuation of the A Troop, 2/4 Cavalry series, in 2-4 Cavalry Story 15: In the Pit of Vipers. It is equivalent in the Kommando, a special forces organization within the European Space Union (that is maintained by the various nations that are represented), that handles special forces and the units that are active. The unit is equivalent to a MEU (SOC) (Marine Expeditionary Unit, Special Operations Capable), where they can perform conventional missions but can also conduct special operations when needed. They support the 5th Kommando battalion and, therefore, are subordinate. The new commander, Captain Karl Bradi, leads the unit.

The main difference from the 2-4 Cavalry series is that more political maneuverings are mentioned (where in the previous series I mainly focused on pure military matters and kept it "clean" of politics as much as possible), and more are inferred in the new series. Politics (as any service member can agree) is a factor in military operations, so I intend to integrate that with the stories as they go on. So far, the story starts with C Troop, 1/5 Kommando Book 1: Dark Sun, where they essentially fight humans and what can be loosely described as a zombie outbreak after a deadly virus is set loose on the planet.
