As the series progresses, the enemy is not just aliens bent on destroying humanity. It's just humans being human, and this book in the series does a great job of covering that. It's a good way to inspire me to write similar things, and it has inspired me to write future books. It's not as exciting as the previous books, but I think the series has a good vibe to it. If you're on the fence, I'd recommend checking these books out. The only gripe is it's about Marines, but even I can tolerate children every once in a while. 5 out of 5 stars.
